Alec has been racing Go-Karts regionally since he was 5 years old . He began competing at the National level when he was 8 years old in series such as Stars of Karting Skusa Pro-Kart challenge, Rotax Pan-Am and SWRC. In December of 2009 Alec traveled to Egypt to represent the United States at the Rotax Max World Finals. Alec competed in the Rock Island Gran Prix winning both Rotax and Tag Junior. At the end of the 2010 season Alec placed 3rd in the Rotax Pan-Am national points championship earning a spot on the 2010 United States World Finals team.
In November of 2009 Alec began driving a Spec Miata in the NASA program. Alec tested an open wheel Formula Enterprise in November of 2010, and was invited to the 2010 Skip Barber Karting Shootout. Alec also tested the Momentum Race Group Grand-Am Camaro, in early January 2011, and turned excellent lap times for his experience in the car. More recently Alec has been competing in the MSR Houston Spec “Pinata” challenge. Currently running the NASA National series, Alec had a strong performance in January finishing 1st out of 34 at MSR Houston.
