Having run at the front at the last two events, Momentum looks to finish there in Utah.
The last two GRAND-AM events have been up and down for Momentum Race Group and their Momentum Autosport Camaro GS.Rs. Running in the top 5 for the first half of the race at Mid-Ohio, before losing the car to an incident with a fellow competitor, and then a solid drive to second by talented Ryan Lewis at New Jersey only to be thwarted by an engine expiration. The whole team at Momentum Race Group is excited about the final event of the year at Miller Motorsports Park back again with drivers Jordon Musser and Ryan Lewis. Click to read more

Team Shows Fantastic Improvements At Recent New Jersey Motorsports Park GRAND-AM Race
Following their front-running performance at Mid-Ohio, Momentum Race Group was once again headed to the front of the field before encountering bad luck. The 06 Mobotix / nfcm.us / Eborhood.com Camaro GS.R of Ryan Lewis and Jordon Musser had worked its way up to 2nd after starting 11th at the midway pit stop / driver change. Lewis’ solid run up front was short-lived though, as the engine expired in spectacular fashion less than 10 minutes after the driver change.
Meanwhile, the 05 Camaro GS.R of Chris Gleason and Jeff Altenburg went a lap down early in the race, but was able to fight back onto the lead lap and finish 15th in class after starting 23rd. Not exactly where the talented duo wanted to finish, but they still celebrated success in fighting their way back to the lead lap before the end of the race. Click to read more

This is one of the biggest “rest” breaks we’re likely to see during the season. It is certainly not one of rest though, as we are working diligently to improve the performance of the cars both internally and externally. Wait… Did I just say “externally”? Yes, there are external influences acting on the cars.
The Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge boasts one of the most diverse grids of sports cars, yet the top 10 finishers’ average race speed difference was only about 1 mph! Click to read more

Well, our first Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge race is in the books. It has been a long winter preparing and testing for this event, but you never know how it is going to turn out until you are actually at the track. For the most part the weekend was smooth, slowly figuring out the cars with each session.
The biggest issue we had was the huge disadvantage in power compared to the new Fords and BMWs, which are nowhere near as heavily-restricted as our engines. We were over 8 mph down on the BMWs, and over 4 mph down from the Mustangs. Combine that with Daytona’s insanely long straights, and it is basically a lost cause. Hopefully Grand-Am will look at the results and dyno some engines so that the rules can be made more even for all competitors. Click to read more
